Bakery Dog Treat preparation

Healthy dog foods start with healthy ingredients and a healthy attitude when making these treats. So don’t rush-rush now but make sure you have some extra time available and enjoy what you are doing.

  1. Place ingredients in bread pan according to manufacturers directions and press “Dough” cycle.
  2. When machine beeps, remove dough to lightly floured countertop and with a rolling pin, roll dough out to ¼” thickness.
  3. Using a dog bone cookie cutter (or any small seasonal cookie cutters), cut out dog biscuits and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet or one sprinkled with cornmeal.
  4. Reroll scraps and repeat till all dough is used up. Place in a warm location and let rise 30 minutes.
  5. Bake at 325F/170C for 30 minutes until brown and no longer soft. Place on a rack to cool. Store in an airtight container.

You can bash them up and use as ideal dog training treats as well…

Serve these organic dog biscuits with lots of love and if you have dog lover friends, why don’t you make more of these kind of healthy pet foods, start your own dog treat bakery and sell your bakery dog treats.

You can also give your dog a body scrub using a mixture from baby powder and baking soda. Leave it in for a few minutes and brush it out entirely.

How to give a dog a wet bath

If your dog like my border collie doesn’t want to sit still, let alone sit still waiting for a body bath – or you need to apply a dog flea shampoo or any other medicated dog shampoo – then put some dog shampoo in a spray bottle and use the garden hose to play with your dog.

Suddenly your dog will love to get wet and it’s not too difficult to spray the dog shampoo with the spray bottle on your dog and then give him "an amazingly good rub" reward 🙂

Rinse the dog shampoo from your dog through further playing with the garden hose.

Please leave a message and share your dog’s favourite home made dog shampoo!

Natural pet food

natural dog food

Yorkshire terrier Pebbles is treated for kidney failure
after eating dog food that was later recalled.
The 7-year-old dog has died already…

The reason why natural pet food is so important for your dog is illustrated by Pebbles: the above cute Yorkshire terrier killed by eating… pet food from the pet shop!

Pebbles became ill with kidney failure after being fed Nutro pet food : a Menu Foods manufactured product. The toxin aminopterin, used to kill rats, was found in the wet pet food. Nobody knows how the poison got there.

So before you go to the shop thinking you will be safe buying healthy pet food, think again! better make your own dog treats if your health of your dog is as important as your own health. After all: do you eat every day food out of a can???
